What Engineering has taught me – Anusha R.

WHAT ENGINEERING HAS TAUGHT ME.

Every student in his/her life thinks that college life is fabulous, especially engineering life. Every student wants to enjoy that moment in their life. I was also among them thinking engineering life would be fun. As I entered the engineering life I somewhere got to know that here u not only get enjoyment, you experience all sort of things in life. Main engineering will teach you how to lead your life. And I am learning it.
I am in 2nd year of engineering, and it has taught me many things in a very short time span. The first thing which it taught me really hit me hard i.e..scarifies. Yes this word changed my way of thinking. When I was in school, I was totally unaware of this word. I was with my mom and dad, and was full careless, because I knew my parents were there with me. But now when I see I feel lonely. I live in hostel so that means without my parents. A very difficult stage of every college going student. But than what I learned is to be independent. Now I do all of my jobs, and I am very careful.
The second thing which it taught is to be strong.when I was small kid people used to appreciate my small work, but now when I have come here I got to know there are people who judge who on bases of many things. Starting it was difficult for me to take all those but gradually I learned that people are there to speak about you, but you are the one who has to decide whether to take it or not.
When I look back I see that engineering has not only taught me lessons it has also given me something special which I never had before that is friend. This words makes me smile as I got the most precious gift from it. Friends are those who not only help you to get away from the problems, they also teach you to overcome and face it. I call them as #BFF i.e..best friends forever. All those moments spent with them make me smile.those fights, arguments, taunts, caring and those lovely moments, and many more with them.when I think about leaving them in future I get scared thinking how can I even live without them.they are my family, more than any boyfriend or girlfriend because they are idiot friends.
People used to tell, small kid are inside the shell protected. I just felt it when I completed my schooling.when I was small my parents used to take decision on which school I should go but now It was on me to opt
And I understood the real meaning of pressure.after all this when I finally joined my college it was very different from school.starting from campus to every person it was different.
In school, we learn things and here we practically apply it,sounds goods, but when I started understanding the real meaning of apply which is not as good as it sounds.
Engineering is not only the place where you enjoy, it also the place where you understand the real meaning of leading a life, I understood what responsible person is, I understood what is spoon-feeding which was done in school, but here it is just a big no. I understood the difference between living a life and leading a life.and the most importantly It taught me to be prepared at every situation, and whatever is the problem it taught me to face it with a smile.

I love my engineering life!!

Thank you.
