What Engineering has taught me – La Selene Dommu

What Engineering has taught me?

Engineering defined in simple terms, is the action of working artfully to bring something about. But to most of the engineering students, it is a one-day batting right before the Semester exam #Just_Engineering_things. Most of us stepping out from the +12 have this big question mark regarding “what would be the next step?”. However, despite the myriad pathways, Engineering somehow tends to choose us eventually. On the other hand, it is equally true that there are those young minds who passionately take up Engineering by choice. These are the one, who outline the true meaning of an Engineer.

“Engineers are the one who make the theory come practical in the real world.”

With a ray of hope for new beginnings, weening the world of college, every newbie looks up to their life. Everything seems to be new and going steadily in the fresher year like a new xerox paper for every pdf, understanding the pattern of internals, externals in curriculum is one among them which doesn’t get into the brain within one go. Exploring, admiring and enjoying the moments, active participation in extra-curricular activities seems to be quite according to the expectations. The first things like the first friend, class, adda(place), favourite lecturer, crush etc are some of the unforgettable memories. For CSEians like me, the first year is the only year where one can do and watch something happen in real before their eyes when it comes to labs. In the course of this adoration, there comes the Sem break with flying colors of “All clear” stamp but sometimes few backs can also be held which is a part of every Engineer’s life. Sophomores, who entered their specialized branch try to be dedicated and learn with great enthusiasm along with the core faculty. Coding is one among the interesting things that definitely needs to have a “printf” statement here. It seems to be quite fun just like any other fascinating thing in the beginning but only a consistent programmer knows it well deep down until it’s functionality is learnt and until we compile it as a computer does. As every cloud has a silver lining, the toppers of the class are the role models which every faculty gives an example of. Learning new technical trends start to creep in. Everything seems to be still at a good pace with friends, this time with stronger bonds and gangs too, though some people only remain as constants. Team work, achieving the Hackathons as a team sometimes maybe just near to the win with few little differences, organizing tech fests, all such group events make us go hand-in-hand which includes Industrial tour visits too. The effort and the en route to the destination is the beautiful journey that gets implanted forever in one’s memory. With all such deeds, one more year passes by….leading to another year of new subjects but with the same old faces or few new ones too. This time the fear of life ahead the 4th year picks up. Everyone plans a plan, but it’s ok not to have a plan too. A class has all kinds of people, some who try their level best in seeking jobs through internships, some aspire to be Entrepreneurs, follow the foot-steps of Seniors, line up to study abroad. This is the period where division of class takes place though only physically far to some bonds, some get more closer. The budding opportunities may tear some thoughts apart but moving on with the change and standing out firmly with the tough decisions taken is something to be learnt, after all these are the life’s lessons. Resolving issues, holding the responsibilities upon one’s shoulders, surfing through high and low tides moulds us in a better way. The essence of life can be well-versed with the four years of Engineering. The support of faculty and parents makes one to get through all these. In the fullness of time, everyone has to go somewhere in their life with all the learnings Engineering teaches, though the timing may differ from person to person. Engineers are the creatures who can learn and adapt to new tasks and processes with the blink of an eye because Engineering not just teaches Engineering but Everything(that is why, Engineering students not only become Engineers).

  4. Howdy would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a tough time making a
    decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something
completely unique. P.S My apologies for getting
off-topic but I had to ask!

  5. It’s genuinely very complex in this busy
life to listen news on TV, therefore I just use the web for that reason,
    and obtain the hottest news.

mobile friendly? My site looks weird when viewing
from my iphone 4. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that
might be able to fix this problem. If you have any recommendations,
