WHAT ENGINEERING HAS TAUGHT ME?
I would like to take you to the all 4 years of engineering year by year .The experience gained each year .All the students have a common starting and a different ending in their Engineering career.
FIRST YEAR :
I joined computer science engineering with a hesitation The first year of engineering was a dream for me after completing 12th keeping the foot on the college was a special moment .At the time of joining college I didn’t have any friends of my school. All the students were new to me . The first year taught me to talk to new persons and had many friendly teachers which was not in the school.
The first year is the best part for any student .Learning basics of all types of engineering.
SECOND YEAR:
The second year was a year of positives and negatives .The syllabus for the course started gearing up most of the concepts were challenging to learn ,With Engineering mathematics being the toughest subject for me in second year. The second year taught me how to manage the time . The relationship between the student and teacher became stronger. On the whole the second year was the year were most of the subjects were taught for me.
THIRD YEAR:
The third year was the time were every student wonders how fast the year could go by. There were lot of things to do other than learning subjects. All the students had to attend any internship had to do mini projects on what we have learnt. I was hearing the same voice in my mind of semester ,lab sessions ,internals ,practicals ,projects etc. The third year was the toughest year in Engineering were it taught me about time management.
FOURTH YEAR :
The final year had both fun and sad part. The 7th semester was the fun part were we have to learn less subjects and had lots of fun with friends then came the topic of placements were we have started attending placement preparation and interviews. This made me think about the future were what will I become after completing the degree will I get a job? Or to prepare for higher studies there was not much clarity in my life . The fourth year made me more responsible about my life thinking about the future and not looking at the past.
CONCLUSION:
Everybody gets an Engineering seat but all may not complete it properly. If a student takes engineering he has to sacrifice lot of things like friends, food ,family etc . Nowadays Engineers don’t deserve the respect what they deserve, Because Engineering has become a common thing. But he doesn’t know the sacrifices of the student. “I am proud to say I am an engineer”.
